Many women have a preconceived notion of where they want to be going into formal recruitment; for Sophia Webster, her future home was not that simple.
Going into the four-day recruitment process, Webster had opened her mind to the possibilities and was looking forward to what the future could hold for her. Once she began attending the parties of each sorority on campus, her hopes in finding a home away from home became stronger and she easily narrowed these choices down to her favorite two. When preference night rolled around, she was stuck between two sororities. Without knowing what to do, Webster flipped a coin to make her decision. Taking this risk turned out to be the best decision of her college career. “Delta Gamma stood out to me because everyone was so genuine. No one asked me about recruitment, they always asked about ME and wanted to know how I want to better myself. They wanted to know how being a part of their fraternity would help with that,” Webster said. |
