Marshall and Cyndi Willenbrock, his Mom and author, travel the nation sharing his story of courage and resilience. LoveU2Pieces -- a local organization which supports families living with autism spectrum disorders – wants to help spread this story of strength and good will. LoveU2Pieces is a local nonprofit that serves children ages 3-17 dealing with Autism spectrum disorders who are high functioning through several events and programs, including their Social Connections and Play the Spectrum programs.

In recent weeks, sexual assault has been hot topic, most recently with several allegations against film mogul Harvey Weinstein throwing him into a suddenly not so flattering spotlight.
This comes to surface weeks after President Trump’s Secretary of Education, Betsy Devos, implemented revisions to Title IX regulations to preserve the rights of those wrongfully accused. Title IX was originally a revision to the Education Amendments of 1972 regarding discrimination based on gender and sexuality, stating “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance,” (U.S. Department of Education). In 2011, President Barack Obama issued revisions to the law. The revision stressed the importance of combating sexual assault head on in hopes of preventing future offenses. Read more of this story |

Walkers and automobiles sometimes share the same space at SHC.
Students are up in arms with the amount of foot traffic on campus roads. Frustration with campus visitors seems to be a daily occurrence for many badger students, and with the amount of visitors to date, one could say the traffic concern poses danger to walkers and people of the community. “There are sidewalks for a reason,” Samantha Thomas said, “Even on the avenue, there is a flat area on the side of the road that functions as a sidewalk, but they proceed to walk right in the line of traffic.” While the avenue is known by most in the Spring Hill area, it seems to be associated with aggravation among most students.
